Yamaha International already updates their favorite motorcycle Yamaha YZ250F. This is the 2010 version of this dirt motorcycle. Actually the changes made to this bike is not too radical compared to previous version. The vital part of ordinary YZ250F is still kept on this 2010 edition.
The new aluminum frame is now well constructed from combination of forged, and sheet aluminum welded to single unit. This combination makes this new YZ250F is more compact and theoretically stronger than the previous model. The other changes can be seen on the wheelbase, rake and trail that was massaged to enhance the steering and stability of this motor.
The Yamaha 2010 YZ250F engine is also upgraded. The five-valve engine cylinder head features a new ‘D’ shaped exhaust port in order to increase the exhaust gas velocity. Also lighter weight aluminum valve retainer and new softer-rate valve springs. Yamaha guaranteed that this engine update will also make the overall engine performance better. So, how does the new YZ-F really stack up? You have to decide if you want to race motocross only or will be mixing it up with some off-road racing. These days, with such huge growth in GNCC, WORCS, Enduro and Endurocross racing, a motocross bike has to be able do everything to be a runaway sales success. The Yamaha YZ250F will do whatever you ask of it, but where it really shines is on the motocross track.
